Patricia A. Peacock – Article Review

Patricia A. Peacock, a beloved member of the Crawfordsville community, passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Attica on March 19, 1933, to Charles Kell Sr. and Ruth Johnson, she had deep roots in the area.

After graduating from Linden High School in 1951, Patricia worked in various roles, including as a switchboard operator at RR Donnelly’s and later as a cook and custodian at local schools. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and decorating her home – especially through wallpapering and cake decorating. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Patricia’s children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

She is survived by her children – Garry, Michael, Charles, David, and Terry Peacock – as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia is also remembered by her sister, Shirley Rosewog, and sister-in-law, Wanda Hitch. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Donald Waltz and Donald Peacock, brothers Robert and Charles Jr. Kell, daughter-in-law Rebecca Peacock, step-son Larry Peacock, and companion Harlan Vail.

A service to honor and remember Patricia will be held on May 30 at Machledt & Servies Funeral and Cremation Services in Waveland. Visitation will take place prior to the service, and burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery in Waveland.
