The trailer, which was unveiled on “Good Morning America,” reminds us of some of Walters’ most memorable interviews, from Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to the Kardashian sisters, Taylor Swift, and the Menendez brothers.
Oprah Winfrey praises Walters in the trailer, saying she always asked the tough questions that others didn’t dare to ask. One clip that’s generating buzz is Walters’ interview with Clint Eastwood. Eastwood, known for not easily sharing his emotions, engages in playful banter with Walters, suggesting they give it a shot to see how it goes.
During the discussion of the interview clip on “GMA,” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos mentioned that it was the only time he’s seen Barbara Walters blush. Walters made history when she joined ABC News in 1976 as the first female anchor on an evening news program. She went on to become a co-host of “20/20” and later launched “The View.” Walters passed away in 2022 at the age of 93. Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Hulu.
