Melissa Villaseñor SNL Character: Law & Order Teen Murderer

Law & Order has a knack for showcasing some pretty terrifying teenage characters, but have you ever noticed how eerily accurate they can be? In a Season 44 episode of Saturday Night Live, cast member Melissa Villaseñor perfectly embodied this archetype in a hilarious sketch on “Weekend Update.”

Brittainy, the character played by Villaseñor, is the epitome of every teen girl suspect on Law & Order. In the segment, Brittainy hilariously dodges questions from Colin Jost, insisting she won’t spill the beans until her lawyer arrives. She then casually confesses to stabbing her friend Logan after a wild party, claiming it was all just a joke that got out of hand. Classic Brittainy!

The sketch is not the first time SNL has poked fun at Law & Order. In a Season 32 episode, Amy Poehler portrayed an acting coach specializing in preparing actors for bit roles on the show. The sketch hilariously showed the absurdity and complexity of the crime drama series.

Law & Order has featured some of the most chilling culprits, including teenagers who can keep their murderous tendencies under wraps. Brittainy fits right in with the likes of characters played by Sarah Hyland, Kate Mara, and Lili Reinhart.

It’s always fun to see SNL stars take on different roles, and Law & Order has been a popular stop for many of them. From Darrell Hammond to Ana Gasteyer, the show has seen its fair share of familiar faces.
