CoComelon Moves to Disney+ from Netflix
Exciting news for little ones and families everywhere – CoComelon, the beloved preschool animated series, is making a big move from Netflix to Disney+! This shift, expected to happen in January 2027, is all part of Disney’s plan to beef up their preschool content lineup. CoComelon has been a fan favorite on Netflix since 2020, consistently ranking as one of the top choices for kids aged 2-5 according to Nielsen data.
Originally starting out on YouTube, CoComelon quickly captured hearts and views before making its way to Netflix, where it played a significant role in expanding the platform’s family-friendly offerings. While Netflix has decided not to renew CoComelon due to a decrease in viewership, the show, along with its spinoff CoComelon Lane, is still very popular on the streaming service.
Now, CoComelon will join other hit preschool titles on Disney+ like Bluey, Spidey and His Amazing Friends, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Disney plans to build upon the success of CoComelon, much like they’ve done with Bluey, an animated gem from Australia.
But the CoComelon fun doesn’t stop there! Fans can look forward to a CoComelon movie coming out from Universal in 2027. The deal with Disney+ includes not only future seasons of CoComelon but also its spinoff Little Angel, which has been a hit in Latin America. Prior to its Netflix run, CoComelon aired on Hulu from 2020 to 2022.
This big news of CoComelon’s move to Disney+ was first brought to light by Bloomberg, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this beloved show on its new streaming home!
