Prime Video cancels The Wheel Of Time after 3 seasons, disappointing fans
Amazon Prime has decided to cancel “The Wheel of Time” after three seasons, leaving fans disappointed. Starring Rosamund Pike and Barney Harris, the series did not receive an explanation for its cancellation, but sources suggest financial factors may be at play. Based on Robert Jordan’s beloved novels, the show first premiered in 2021, with its second season following in 2023, and the most recent third season landing in March 2025.
The storyline revolved around Moriaine, played by Pike, a member of the Aes Sedai, a powerful all-female group. The plot kicks off as she arrives in the quaint town of Two Rivers and embarks on a perilous journey across the world with five young women and men. Among them is the prophesied Dragon Reborn, destined to either save or doom humanity. It’s a shame that the adventure is coming to an end, but the show certainly made a lasting impact during its time on Prime Video.
