TikTok Partners with SoundCloud for ‘Add to Music App’ Feature

SoundCloud is now part of the ‘Add to Music App’ feature on TikTok! This means that when you discover a great song on TikTok, you can easily save it to your Liked Tracks playlist on SoundCloud with just a tap.

To use this awesome feature, all you need to do is hit the “add song” button next to the track name at the bottom of a TikTok video in your For You Feed. Since its launch in late 2023, Add to Music App has already saved over a billion tracks and generated billions of streams, according to a statement from TikTok.

Initially rolled out with Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify, Add to Music App has now expanded to include Deezer, Melon, TIDAL, and SoundCloud. Emmy Lovell, Global Head of Music at SoundCloud, shared, “SoundCloud has always been the go-to platform for discovering what’s next in music, from emerging artists to breakout genres. Partnering with TikTok makes it easier than ever for fans to save the songs they love and stay connected with the artists behind them.”

Lindsey Kelt Zikry, from TikTok’s Global Product Partnerships team, added, “Tens of millions of TikTok users take advantage of the Add to Music App feature to save the music they discover on TikTok to their favorite streaming platform. We are thrilled to be partnering with SoundCloud to support emerging and aspiring artists in reaching new fans and superfans on TikTok.”

Not only that, but SoundCloud has also launched Move Your Music—a feature that allows users to transfer their music libraries from other streaming platforms like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, TIDAL, and YouTube Music. This means you can bring over your liked songs and playlists to SoundCloud, as long as you have the app installed on your mobile device.

Exciting times for music lovers!
