Accused Gilgo Beach Killer Series Includes Home Visit and Family Interview

A brand-new series is coming to Peacock next month, offering viewers an unprecedented glimpse into the life of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann. “Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets” is set to premiere in June and promises to shine a light on the alleged killer’s violent double life, according to NBC.

Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the three-part series will delve into the life and aftermath of Heuermann, exploring never-before-seen aspects of his life. The series will take viewers inside the Heuermann home and include interviews with those who know him best, uncovering dark secrets hidden in plain sight.

According to Variety, this series marks the first time the suspect’s family has spoken out, providing testimony that paints a chilling picture of a man leading a double life under their own roof. The production boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers and promises to deliver a gripping narrative that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Recently, Robert Macedonio, attorney for Heuermann’s ex-wife Asa Ellerup, shared that Ellerup’s divorce from Heuermann has been finalized and the couple’s shared home will soon be put up for sale. As part of this process, a safe door that concealed a room filled with guns was recently removed, shedding light on the dark secrets hidden within the walls of the house.

This series is just the latest in a string of productions focusing on the Gilgo Beach murders. In April, a documentary titled “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer” premiered on Netflix, quickly garnering attention from audiences. The Netflix documentary, directed by Liz Garbus, offers a detailed look at the case that dominated headlines for years before a major break in 2023.

Heuermann currently faces charges in seven murders, including the deaths of sex workers whose remains were found along Ocean Parkway. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, the accused killer remains a central figure in one of Long Island’s most notorious cases.

As the debut of “Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets” draws near, viewers can look forward to a compelling exploration of a complex and tragic story that continues to unfold in real time.
