Harrison Ford’s Bold Statement on Working with Michael J. Fox
Harrison Ford recently shared his positive experience working with Michael J. Fox on the Apple TV+ series, Shrinking. Ford, known for his role in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World, expressed his admiration for Fox, who came out of retirement to join the cast.
In an interview with People, Ford emphasized how inspiring it was to have Fox on board, highlighting their shared commitment to telling an important story. Despite not knowing Fox well before working together, Ford praised Fox’s pride in shining a light on Parkinson’s disease through their work on the show.
Fox, best known for his iconic role as Marty McFly in Back to the Future, went public with his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1991 and continued acting until his retirement in 2020. In Shrinking, Ford portrays Dr. Paul Rhodes, a therapist living with Parkinson’s while providing mental health therapy.
Parkinson’s is a brain disorder that can cause uncontrollable movements and coordination challenges. Through their work on Shrinking, Ford and Fox are bringing awareness to this condition and showcasing the importance of storytelling in raising awareness.
