Marvel Releases Trailer for Ironheart, Combining Technology and Magic in Upcoming Disney+ Series

Marvel Studios has just dropped the very first trailer for Ironheart, an exciting limited series that picks up the story of the brilliant inventor Riri Williams after her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Set to premiere on Disney+ on June 24, 2025, this series, led by directors Samantha Bailey and Angela Barnes and created by Chinaka Hodge, promises to bring a grounded, character-focused addition to the expanding Marvel Television lineup.

Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams, the young MIT prodigy turned armored superhero, who comes back to her hometown of Chicago with big plans to change the world with her revolutionary technology. But Riri’s innovative ideas are quickly challenged by the emergence of Parker Robbins, a street-smart rival known as The Hood, portrayed by Anthony Ramos. The show dives into the clash between science and mysticism, setting the stage for a captivating clash of beliefs and abilities.

In the trailer, we catch a glimpse of the series’ mix of urban grit, cutting-edge tech, and dark magic. The supporting cast includes Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White, all bringing depth to Riri’s world and raising the stakes. Visually striking and emotionally complex, Ironheart is poised to delve into themes of identity, legacy, and power through a distinctly Marvel lens, while exploring new creative paths.

Penned by a talented team including Chinaka Hodge, Francesca Gailes, Jacqueline Gailes, Malarie Howard, Cristian Martinez, and Amir Sulaiman, the series draws inspiration from the Ironheart comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato Jr. As Marvel continues to champion diverse characters and storytelling styles, Ironheart shines as a fresh, socially relevant addition to the MCU—one that pits brilliance against magic, and heart against the hood.
