Apple TV+ debuts new MURDERBOT clip ahead of May 16 premiere

Apple TV+ is gearing up for the highly anticipated debut of “Murderbot” with the release of a new clip ahead of its premiere on May 16th. This 10-episode series, based on Martha Wells’ acclaimed book series “The Murderbot Diaries,” is set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes dropping on Friday, May 16, 2025, followed by new episodes every Friday until July 11th.

The show follows the story of Murderbot, a self-hacking security construct who grapples with human emotions while navigating dangerous assignments. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot struggles to conceal its free will as it tries to understand its place in the universe, all while craving time to indulge in futuristic soap operas.

The stellar ensemble cast of “Murderbot” includes Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, with the Weitz brothers at the helm as writers, directors, and producers under their Depth of Field banner.

In addition to the Weitz brothers, Andrew Miano and David S. Goyer, among others, serve as executive producers. Martha Wells also lends her expertise as a consulting producer for this highly-anticipated series.
