Vince Carter Joins NBC as Studio Analyst for 2025-26 NBA Season

Vince Carter, a Basketball Hall of Famer, is set to join NBC Sports as a studio analyst for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season. In an exciting move, NBC has announced that Carter will be in the studio at least once a week during the playoffs, often alongside Carmelo Anthony.

Carter expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “I could not be more excited and appreciative to be a part of the historic return of the NBA to NBC and now Peacock. I am truly looking forward to joining Melo in the studio and the rest of the broadcast team as we provide NBA fans with top-notch coverage of the league they love.”

NBCUniversal recently secured the rights to the NBA in a new 11-year contract set to start in July 2025. Since then, NBC has been assembling a star-studded lineup for its NBA coverage. In addition to Carter and Anthony, Jamal Crawford, Reggie Miller, Mike Tirico, and Noah Eagle will also join the team. Michael Jordan will also be involved as a special contributor.

Throughout his 22-year career in the NBA, Carter played for several teams, including the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets. Known for his explosive play on the court, Carter has been praised for his dynamic transition into broadcasting, bringing valuable experience from his time as an NBA and college basketball analyst with ESPN and Turner Sports.

Carter’s accolades include eight All-Star appearances, two All-NBA selections, and the NBA Rookie of the Year award. He is widely recognized as one of the best dunkers in NBA history and holds the 10th spot in the all-time made 3-pointers list with 2,290. In addition to his remarkable achievements, both the Raptors and Nets have retired his jersey number, honoring his contributions to the game.

Sam Flood, Executive Producer at NBC Sports, commended Carter’s impressive career, stating, “Vince is one of the most explosive players in NBA history. His dynamic play on the court has seamlessly transitioned into his broadcasting career, where he will be working alongside Carmelo Anthony, a fellow Hall of Famer, perennial All-Star, and Olympic champion.”

As we anticipate the start of the 2025-26 NBA season on Peacock, fans can look forward to insightful commentary and analysis from Vince Carter and the rest of the talented NBC broadcast team.
