When the service launches, subscribers can choose from two different plans: an unlimited subscription for $30 per month and a select plan for $12 per month. The unlimited plan offers access to all of ESPN’s linear networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, and ESPN Deportes. Additionally, subscribers will be able to watch ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, ESPN3, SECN+, and ACCNX. The unlimited plan also includes access to studio shows, original programming like the 30 for 30 films, and 47,000 live events every year.
For those who prefer the select plan, priced at $12 per month, it is essentially the same as the current ESPN+ subscription. There are also annual subscription options available, with the unlimited membership priced at $300 and the select plan at $120 per year.
In terms of bundling options, subscribers who also use Disney+ and/or Hulu can opt for a bundle that includes all three services for $30 per month for the first year. This bundle comes with the ad-supported version of Disney+ and Hulu. After the promotional period, the bundle will cost $36 per month with ads or $45 per month for an ad-free experience.
Existing ESPN+ subscribers will be migrated to the new ESPN service on the select plan, with the option to upgrade to the unlimited plan. The transition is set to take place when the ESPN streaming service launches in the early fall. More details, including the exact launch date, will be announced by Disney later in the summer.
While the standalone ESPN service has been highly anticipated, Disney had also collaborated with other companies to create a sports streaming platform. However, those plans were scrapped earlier in the year due to legal challenges. Despite this, deals were reached with other streaming services to continue offering sports content to viewers.
