Disney Announces ESPN Streaming Service for $29.99
Disney has just unveiled a brand new streaming service called ESPN that caters to sports fans everywhere. The service comes in two options: an unlimited package for $29.99 a month and a select option for $11.99 a month. ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro shared that the unlimited package will offer fans access to all of ESPN’s networks and content.
In addition to the standalone options, there are bundling opportunities available for the ESPN unlimited plan with Disney+ and Hulu. There’s even a special offer at launch where you can get all three services for $29.99 per month for the first year.
Pitaro emphasized that ESPN is a trusted and beloved name in the world of sports, and the new service aims to provide fans with all of their content in one convenient place. The goal is to cut through the clutter and offer fans a seamless, personalized sports experience.
The unlimited plan includes access to all of ESPN’s linear networks, like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, and more, along with a range of sports rights including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and UFC. Plus, you can tune into popular studio shows like “SportsCenter,” “First Take,” and “Pardon the Interruption,” as well as on-demand content like 30 for 30 films and ESPN Originals.
If you’re already an ESPN+ subscriber, you’ll automatically be transitioned to the new ESPN service based on your current subscription level. Standalone ESPN+ subscribers will get the ESPN select plan, while bundle subscribers with Disney+ and Hulu will get the ESPN select bundle.
To top it off, ESPN is introducing a series of enhancements to their ESPN App for mobile and connected TV devices to elevate the viewing experience. With ESPN’s robust content offerings and convenient packages, sports fans will have all they need in one place to catch their favorite games and shows.
