Streaming Guide for Apple TV+, Crave, Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video in Canada [May 12-18]
Looking for something new to watch on your favorite streaming services? We’ve got you covered with a rundown of the latest shows and movies to add to your queue. From Apple TV+ to Crave, here are some highlights to check out this week.
Starting with Apple TV+, we have “Murderbot,” a sci-fi, action-comedy series that follows a security cyborg on a dangerous mission. Based on Martha Wells’ book series, the show features stars like Alexander Skarsgård and David Dastmalchian. Plus, fun fact: the series was shot right here in Toronto! You can catch “Murderbot” on Apple TV+.
Over on Crave, don’t miss “Super Team Canada,” an animated superhero comedy created by Canadian writers and featuring a star-studded Canadian cast. This quirky series follows a team of Canadian-themed superheroes on their adventures. Fun tidbit: Bryan Adams wrote and performed the theme song for the show. Check out “Super Team Canada” on Crave.
Switching gears to Disney+, “Welcome to Wrexham” is a comedy series that follows the antics of a soccer team trying to achieve their third promotion in as many years. Co-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, this show promises plenty of laughs and drama. Stream “Welcome to Wrexham” on Disney+.
Netflix has some exciting offerings this week, including “Bad Thoughts,” a comedy series by comedian Tom Segura, and “Love, Death + Robots: Volume 4,” an animated anthology featuring a variety of short stories. You can catch both of these shows on Netflix.
And last but not least, on Prime Video, “The Brutalist” tells the story of a Holocaust survivor starting a new life in America. This period drama features a star-studded cast and offers a compelling storyline. Stream “The Brutalist” on Prime Video.
