Attention all movie lovers! If you’re looking for something special to watch this month, Paramount+ has got you covered. In honor of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Heritage Month, they’ve added a fantastic selection of international films to their streaming platform.
Among the many great options available, one film stands out above the rest: “Parasite.” This gripping thriller from Korean director Bong Joon-Ho tells the story of the Kim family, who, despite their financial struggles, manage to infiltrate the lives of the wealthy Park family through manipulation and deception.
“Parasite” made waves when it was released in 2019, winning numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. It also made history as the first non-English-language film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Director Bong Joon-Ho’s talent was recognized with three additional Oscars for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film, making him one of only three people to achieve such a feat on the same night. The other two? Walt Disney in 1953 and Sean Baker in 2024.
So, if you’re in the mood for a captivating and award-winning film, be sure to check out “Parasite” on Paramount+ now. It’s a movie you won’t want to miss!
