Ted: The Animated Series Acquired by Peacock – Latest News
Peacock is bringing the iconic foul-mouthed teddy bear “Ted” back to life in an animated series following the success of the live-action comedy “Ted.” Seth MacFarlane, known for hits like Family Guy and The Orville, will voice Ted once again and executive produce the show alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, who worked on Modern Family and the original Ted series.
Returning to voice their roles are Mark Wahlberg as “John,” Amanda Seyfried as “Sam,” and Jessica Barth as “Tami-Lynn.” The cast also includes Kyle Mooney as “Apollo” and Liz Richman as “Ruth.” Produced by UCP, Fuzzy Door, and MRC, the animated series picks up where the Ted films left off.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the first season of Ted broke records as Peacock’s most-watched original title and the #1 Original Streaming Comedy in the US for over two straight months. It even became the biggest US comedy launch on Sky in the UK in over two decades! No wonder it’s been renewed for a second season.
The talented team behind Ted: The Animated Series includes Seth MacFarlane, showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, and producers from Fuzzy Door and Rough Draft. Be sure to check out the video announcement for the animated comedy on Instagram. Get ready for more adventures with Ted and the gang!
