Prime Video Adds Top Movie of the Year as It Leaves Netflix

When you think of Shia LaBeouf movies, you might think of Transformers or Disturbia, but some of his best work has come in more recent films. His highest-rated movie to date is 2019’s The Peanut Butter Falcon, a comedy drama with a 95/96 on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s not just his best work, but one of the best comedies in recent years. The Peanut Butter Falcon, directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, stars LaBeouf, Zack Gottsagen, and Dakota Johnson. It earned $23 million on just a $6.2 million budget, making it the highest-grossing independent film of 2019.

In the movie, a man with Down syndrome runs away from a nursing home to pursue his dream of becoming a pro wrestler, teaming up with an outlaw who becomes his coach and friend.

With a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, The Peanut Butter Falcon ties with Honey Boy as LaBeouf’s highest-rated film, but edges it out with a 96% audience score. It runs for an hour and 38 minutes and has a PG-13 rating.
