Steve Nash credits LeBron James for landing NBA on Prime gig
Former NBA star Steve Nash is making waves in the media world, thanks to a new gig with Amazon Prime Video’s NBA coverage. LeBron James recently gave him a big shout-out for the move. As the current NBA season wraps up, new media rights deals are in the works with Amazon and NBC. Last week, Prime Video beefed up its NBA lineup by adding Nash, along with Candace Parker, Dwyane Wade, and Udonis Haslem to their team.
Nash got his start in media by co-hosting “Mind the Game” with James, succeeding JJ Redick. In a recent episode, James congratulated Nash on his new role with Prime Video, where Nash will be serving as a game analyst and studio personality. Nash expressed his excitement to work with former teammate Dirk Nowitzki and other stars joining Prime Video.
With this new opportunity, Nash acknowledged James for helping him break into the media space. It seems like Nash’s tenure on “Mind the Game” paved the way for him to land this prominent role with Amazon. Although many joked that this path could lead him back to coaching, it looks like Nash is headed towards a successful career with NBA on Prime.
