Amy Poehler to Star in New TV Series ‘Dig’ by ‘Parks and Rec’ Creator Mike Schur
Amy Poehler is set to make her highly anticipated return to comedy TV with a new series on Peacock. The show, called Dig, is a collaboration between Poehler and Mike Schur, the creator of Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, and A Man on the Inside.
In Dig, Poehler will write, executive produce, and star alongside a cast of four women working at an archaeological dig in Greece. As they uncover a long-buried secret with the potential to rewrite history, they find themselves caught in a high-stakes international conspiracy.
This marks Poehler’s first TV project since the finale of Parks and Recreation in 2015 and her reunion with Schur. The announcement of Dig comes as fans recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of Parks and Rec’s conclusion. The close-knit cast, including Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, and Aubrey Plaza, remains connected through a group text, showing their enduring friendship.
Poehler’s return to TV is eagerly anticipated by fans, who can catch up on Parks and Rec, The Good Place, and A Man on the Inside on streaming platforms like Peacock and Netflix. Stay tuned for more updates on Dig and Poehler’s latest comedic venture.
