2026 Chevrolet Corvette: Updated Interior Design Focuses on Modernity

The Chevrolet Corvette has bid farewell to its iconic bridge of buttons! This unique interior feature, which housed climate control buttons on a divider next to the center console, has been removed in the 2026 model.

Chevrolet has made several updates to its supercar for the 2026 model year, including relocating the climate controls below the infotainment touchscreen. This adjustment is part of a broader range of changes that apply to all variants of the Corvette, such as the Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, and ZR1. Unfortunately, the ZR1 won’t be available in Australia as it’s not produced in right-hand drive configuration.

One of the key changes to the 2026 Corvette is the addition of a 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen on the opposite side of the steering wheel, displaying customizable trip data. The main infotainment touchscreen has also been upgraded to 12.7 inches and now features built-in Google technology, enabling users to access apps like Google Chrome and HBO Max through the Google Play store. This means you can now stream movies and browse the internet while parked in your Corvette.

The digital instrument cluster has been enlarged to 14 inches and can now be paired with a carbon-fiber display hood. The E-Ray’s Performance App, previously exclusive to certain models, is now available across the entire Corvette lineup. Additional information visible on the screens includes G-force gauges, tire pressure, oil pressure, and temperature readings for oil, coolant, and transmission fluid.

Chevrolet has improved the user interface of the Corvette by implementing hardware and software updates and enhancing graphic clarity. The drive mode selector has been redesigned and relocated, replacing the previous wheel under a wrist rest with a more convenient rocker switch. A wireless phone charging pad has taken the place of the old wrist rest, along with a cover to secure your phone.

In addition to these changes, Chevrolet has introduced four new interior color options for the 2026 Corvette. These include Jet Black and Adrenaline Red, Sky Cool and Medium Ash Grey with Habenero accents, Santorini Blue, and Very Dark Atmosphere with Jet Black and Natural tan accents. The Ultimate Suede option covers nearly all interior surfaces in Jet Black suede and offers various stitching and seatbelt color options.

Furthermore, performance enhancements like the new PTM Pro mode and updated brake packages for specific models have been introduced. Other exterior updates for the 2026 Corvette include two new metallic finishes, Roswell Green and Blade Silver, as well as a new asymmetrical exterior center stripe available in Edge Red/Carbon Flash.

The Corvette continues to impress with its innovative design and technological advancements with each model year. The 2026 updates bring a fresh new look and improved functionality to this iconic supercar.
