Carmelo Anthony Joins NBC Sports as Studio Analyst for NBA Coverage
Carmelo Anthony, the NBA legend set to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September, is making a new move to join NBC Sports as a studio analyst starting this October. The big news was announced during NBC’s coverage of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon.
Anthony, a 10-time NBA all-star, has an impressive record, ranking 10th on the NBA all-time scoring list with 28,289 points. He’s also been a significant part of the U.S. Olympics basketball team, contributing to three gold-medal-winning squads over four Olympic appearances.
NBC Sports shared that fans can expect to see Anthony on their screens one or more nights a week throughout the playoffs. Following his successful college career at Syracuse, where he helped lead the team to an NCAA title in 2003, Anthony played 19 seasons in the NBA, predominantly with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, before retiring after the 2022-23 season.
