Carmelo Anthony is set to bring his basketball expertise to NBC Sports as a studio analyst this coming October, as NBC and Peacock gear up for their NBA coverage. The exciting news was revealed during NBC’s Kentucky Derby broadcast over the weekend.

With an impressive career that includes 10 NBA All-Star appearances and a current ranking of 10th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 28,289 points, Anthony’s insights are sure to be valuable additions to the studio team. Not to mention, his experience as part of the U.S. Olympic team, with three gold medals to his name, adds another layer of expertise to his analysis.

NBC Sports shared that Anthony is expected to make regular appearances in the studio throughout the week, especially during the playoffs. After starting his journey by leading Syracuse to an NCAA title back in 2003, Anthony played a stellar 19 seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks, before retiring at the end of the 2022-23 season.
