Carmelo Anthony Joins NBC Sports as NBA Studio Analyst
NBA legend Carmelo Anthony is stepping into a new role as a studio analyst for NBC Sports when they kick off their NBA coverage on NBC and Peacock this October. This exciting news was shared during NBC’s Kentucky Derby coverage over the weekend.
Anthony, who will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this September, is a 10-time NBA All-Star and currently sits at 10th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with an impressive 28,289 points. He has also represented the U.S. in four Olympics, contributing to three gold medal-winning teams.
According to NBC Sports, fans can expect to see Anthony in the studio one or more nights per week all the way through the playoffs. After leading Syracuse to an NCAA championship in 2003, Anthony enjoyed a 19-season career in the NBA, primarily playing for the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks before retiring in the 2022-23 season.
