Celebrity chef receives legal warning for criticizing Meghan Markle’s cookery show

A celebrity chef, Jameson Stocks, recently made headlines for claiming he received a legal warning after criticizing Meghan Markle’s Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.” The show, which follows the Duchess of Sussex as she cooks and entertains family and friends, was released last month to mixed reviews.

Stocks, a well-known food expert who once cooked for King Charles, did not hold back in his assessment of the show, describing it as “terrible” and “hard to watch.” He even revealed that he turned down an offer to be a part of the series.

According to Stocks, his comments against the show resulted in a letter from Netflix’s lawyers, warning him about his remarks. However, Netflix has denied sending any legal correspondence to the chef.

The series featured guests like Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, Alice Waters, and Roy Choi. Despite the criticism, a second season of “With Love, Meghan” is set to air in 2026 as part of the $100m deal Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed with Netflix in 2020.

Stocks, whose life story is being turned into a film produced by Brad Pitt, encouraged Markle to stick to acting, stating that she should not be teaching people to cook. He emphasized the importance of staying true to one’s strengths and expertise.

While Stocks may have ruffled some feathers with his comments, it’s clear that everyone is entitled to their opinion. The world of entertainment and streaming shows like “With Love, Meghan” always spark debate and discussion. The key is to enjoy what you love and respect the diversity of opinions that make the entertainment industry so dynamic.
