Peacock Announces Four New Scripted Shows from Digital Creators
Peacock is gearing up to release four new original series later this month, showcasing a unique approach. These scripted shows all have something in common—they were crafted by social-first video creators.
Under the Peacock Emerging Artist Series banner, all episodes of the four shows will be available starting on May 19. The lineup includes “The Warehouse Phase” by Charlie Curtis-Beard, “The Kouncil” by Katie Florence, “Older Hotter Wiser” by Serena Kerrigan, and “People Like Me” by Daren Vongirdner.
Part of the exciting news is that each of these creators got their start with NBCUniversal’s Creator Accelerator Program. This initiative not only aims to nurture new talent for the company but also hopes to introduce the creators’ existing Instagram and TikTok followers to Peacock’s longer-form content.
According to NBCUniversal advertising & partnerships’ CMO Josh Feldman, each show puts the creator’s unique voice at the forefront. By translating their storytelling skills from short videos to premium video content, these creators are sharing their passion with a wider audience. It’s a win-win for both the creators and Peacock!
