Showtime Announces Dexter: Resurrection Premiere on July 11 on Paramount+

Michael C. Hall, known for his role as Dexter Morgan, is returning to the screen in the highly-anticipated “Dexter: Resurrection.” The teaser trailer was released by Showtime on April 29, announcing the premiere of two episodes on Paramount+ streaming service on Friday, July 11, a couple of days before the on-air debut on July 13. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released on a weekly basis.
Fans around the world can look forward to watching “Dexter: Resurrection” exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The show, which is based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel series, originally aired for eight seasons from 2006 to 2013. It follows Dexter Morgan, a Miami police officer who secretly leads a vigilante life as a serial killer, targeting dangerous criminals.
Returning after his appearance in the 2021-22 limited series “Dexter: New Blood,” Michael C. Hall reprises his role as Dexter for the upcoming series. The plot picks up after the events of “New Blood,” with Dexter waking from a coma and heading to New York City to reunite with his son. However, Dexter’s past catches up with him when Angel Batista, played by David Zayas, starts asking questions.
The new season, helmed by showrunner Clyde Phillips and executive producer Scott Reynolds, promises to bring back the suspense and drama fans have come to expect from the franchise. The star-studded cast also features Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, and Kadia Saraf, among others.
