Ted Lasso Season 4 vs Dead Cat: A Comparison with Brett Goldstein

When Ted Lasso Season 3 wrapped up in 2023, fans thought it might be the end of the line for the hit football comedy. But surprise! A fourth season was confirmed, with favorites like Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift all set to return.

Writer and star Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, shared a funny anecdote on the Wild Card podcast about a friend who wished for his cat to come back from the dead. It got him thinking about the unexpected return of Ted Lasso and the power of second chances.

Goldstein hinted that he and the team are hard at work in the writers’ room for the upcoming season 4, but kept details under wraps. We do know that Ted will be coaching a women’s football team this time around, a teaser fans got a taste of at the end of season 3.

Expect to see familiar faces like Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Juno Temple (Keeley), and Nick Mohammed (Nate) as well. And if Mohammed’s enthusiasm is anything to go by, he’ll be back in a heartbeat.
