King of the Hill Revival Coming to Hulu This Summer

In an exciting announcement in 2023, Hulu revealed that the beloved show, King of the Hill, would be returning for a new season. Now, we have more details on when we can expect to see the revival.

According to Deadline, the cast, along with co-creators and executive producers Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, will come together for a reunion at the ATX TV Festival in May. The event is set for May 30 and will offer attendees a sneak peek at the upcoming season, which Deadline confirms will debut this summer.

Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu, and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals, expressed his excitement about the reboot. He stated, “We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy, and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago. This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we’re so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group.”

Originally airing from 1997 to 2009, King of the Hill followed the Hill family in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas. The new season of the show will pick up several years after the original series, with Bobby Hill pursuing a career as a chef. Many of the original voice actors will be returning, but sadly, a few cast members have passed away since 2009, including Brittany Murphy (Luanne), Tom Petty (Lucky), and Johnny Hardwick (Dale), who had already recorded some of his lines. It has not been announced if these roles will be recast.

The titles of the first ten episodes of the new season were leaked via the WGA website in December, offering some hints about the upcoming storylines. Here’s a sneak peek at the titles:

– “Return of the King”
– “The Beer Story”
– “Chore Money, Chore Problems”
– “Any Given Hill-Day”
– “New Ref in Town”
– “Peggy’s Fadeout”
– “Bobby Gets Grilled”
– “No Hank Left Behind”
– “A Sounder Investment”
– “Kahn-scious Uncoupling”

While you eagerly await the new season’s premiere this summer, you can binge-watch all the previous seasons on Hulu. Happy streaming!
