Tough-as-Nails Drifter Show Dominates Prime Video Streaming

Jack Reacher is a no-nonsense, take-care-of-business kind of guy. He comes into a town, cleans up the mess, and vanishes before you know it. And now, he’s dominating the streaming charts. According to Nielsen, Prime Video’s Reacher was the top-streamed series in March 2025, with a whopping 6.6 billion minutes viewed. Yes, billion with a “B.” Not bad for a guy who just wants some peace, diner pie, and to knock out the bad guys.

Adapted from Lee Child’s popular books, Reacher follows the tough ex-military police officer as he wanders from place to place, stumbling upon criminal plots that only he can unravel. Alan Ritchson plays the muscle-bound hero, staying true to the heart of the books: high-octane action, clever puzzles, and a protagonist who’s equal parts genius and powerhouse.

This isn’t the first time Reacher has come out on top. Season 1 was a hit, and Season 2 dove into Bad Luck and Trouble with a gripping new storyline. This time, Reacher dives headfirst into a dangerous crime syndicate to save a missing agent.

Why is Reacher such a hit? It’s a blend of classic action, cozy procedural, and no-frills storytelling. In a time when TV can be overwhelming, Reacher is a breath of fresh air. No parallel universes, no time travel, just a hero, a mystery, and a quest for justice. Viewers know who the good guys are, and they’re about to see the bad guys regret their life choices.

With numbers like these, it’s clear that Prime Video has found its tough-guy franchise. Viewers can’t seem to get enough, and who can blame them?
