NBC Sports Names Betsy Riley from Prime Video to Olympic Production Team

Betsy Riley, known as a 2024 SBJ Game Changer, is making her way back to NBC Sports. She’s been appointed as the Senior Vice President and coordinating producer for NBC Olympics. Her role involves overseeing the production of the Olympic primetime show, kicking off with Milan Cortina in 2026.

Riley’s background includes working at Prime Video as a senior coordinating producer, where she played a key role in launching “Thursday Night Football” and managing game production. She also spearheaded the first-ever Black Friday football game and led the launch and production of the NWSL on the streaming platform.

With experience in nine Olympic Games, both as a staff member for NBC Olympics from 2006-2013 and as a freelancer since 2002, Riley is no stranger to the Olympic stage. She will start her new role immediately and will be reporting to Molly Solomon, who serves as the executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production.

As for the previous Olympic primetime producer, Rob Hyland, he will be shifting gears to produce next year’s Super Bowl and continue his role as the current producer for “Sunday Night Football.”
