“Saw XI” Removed from Release Calendar as Lionsgate Sets “The Strangers”

Lionsgate recently made a change to its upcoming film lineup, removing “Saw XI” from its release calendar and slotting in “The Strangers – Chapter 2” for a September 26 debut.

According to reports, “Saw XI” faced creative differences among its producers that couldn’t be resolved, leading to its removal from the schedule. While the future of the “Saw” series remains uncertain, Lionsgate is spreading a positive message through Billy the Puppet, an iconic character from the franchise, assuring fans that the game is far from over.

“The Strangers – Chapter 2” is part of a planned trilogy revival of the horror series that kicked off in 2008. The first installment, “Chapter 1,” garnered success with $35 million earned in the U.S. on an $8.5 million budget.

Scheduled to launch the same weekend as Warner Bros.’ “One Battle After Another,” this horror film promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Producers Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon expressed their excitement for the upcoming release, hinting at the thrilling experience awaiting fans this Halloween season.

With the release calendar shake-up, horror and thriller fans now have something new to anticipate on the big screen. Stay tuned as Lionsgate brings new scares and surprises with “The Strangers – Chapter 2” this fall.
