“The Sex Lives of College Girls cancelled by Max network”
Sad news for fans of The Sex Lives of College Girls —Max has decided to cancel the show after three seasons. The series, which premiered back in 2021 on what was then HBO Max, followed the lives of a group of college roommates at Essex College in New England.
Co-created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, the show had a solid run, with its third season wrapping up in January. While Max won’t be producing any more episodes, Warner Bros. Television is looking to shop the series around to other streaming platforms, so there’s a glimmer of hope for its return.
The talented cast of season 3 included Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Renika Williams, Gracie Lawrence, and Mia Rodgers. Reneé Rapp, who was a main character in the first two seasons, made a cameo in season 3 and has confirmed she won’t be returning for any future episodes.
It’s always tough to say goodbye to a show we love, but who knows — maybe another platform will pick it up and bring back the college girl drama we’ve all come to enjoy.
