Disney+ confirms Percy Jackson season 3 ahead of season 2 premiere
Disney+ has some exciting news for Percy Jackson fans—Season 3 is already in the works, even before Season 2 has hit the screen! The third season will be based on The Titan’s Curse, the third book in the beloved series by Rick Riordan. Season 2, which is based on The Sea of Monsters, has finished production and is set to premiere in December.
Rick Riordan himself is thrilled about the renewal, describing it as a massive commitment from Disney and a testament to the strong support from fans. He hinted at the introduction of key characters like Nico and Bianca di Angelo, as well as the Hunters of Artemis, in the upcoming seasons. Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, commended the show for deeply connecting with viewers.
Disney is making sure to keep the age progression of the young cast consistent, including Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover. Riordan’s plan is to adapt each book into a single season, ensuring that the story unfolds authentically while the actors remain at the appropriate ages.
In Season 3, we can expect to see new cast members, especially for the children of Hades. Meanwhile, Season 2 will follow Percy’s adventures at Camp Half-Blood and beyond. With the overwhelming support from fans, the Percy Jackson series continues to grow, leaving viewers excited for more mythological escapades.
