Prime Video’s Bloodaxe: New Series from Vikings Creator

Prime Video has announced a new historical drama series titled Bloodaxe, to be created, written, and executive produced by Michael Hirst, the genius behind the hit show Vikings. The series will shed light on the life of the legendary Viking warrior Erik Bloodaxe and his fierce wife Gunnhild as they engage in a gripping battle for the Norwegian throne against rival Scandinavian kings and a mighty English ruler.

Alongside Michael Hirst, the series will be executive produced by Horatio Hirst, Steve Stark from Toluca Pictures, Arturo Interian, Morgan O’Sullivan, John Weber, and Sheila Hockin. The show is in production under MGM Television, a branch of Amazon MGM Studios.
