ched the benchmark of American Thanksgiving, the holidays are apparently well underway. The next 30-some-odd days will be filled with Christmas movies, as to be expected, starting with the 1986 and 1997 versions of Babes in Toyland, Christmas Carol: The Movie, An All Dogs Christmas Carol, Nutcracker: The Motion Picture, Dr. Seuss’ the Grinch, and Love Actually arriving on December 1. There’s also a Jack Black Christmas movie where he appears to be playing Satan, which sounds pretty cool!

Amazon is also dropping The Sticky on December 6, a TV series inspired by “The Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist,” starring Margo Martindale and Jamie Lee Curtis. It might be really good or just dumb fun; either way, it’s a good enough watch for that in-between week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

As we head into the winter season, prime yourself with some quality TV to keep you entertained during the cold nights. If the list of Prime offerings for December doesn’t tickle your fancy, don’t worry, there’s plenty more to watch on Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, CBC Gem, MUBI, and other streaming platforms.

– Babes in Toyland (1986) and (1997)
– Christmas Carol: The Movie
– An All Dogs Christmas Carol
– Nutcracker: The Motion Picture
