I wanted to talk about the use of celebrity voices in animated movies, even if I haven’t seen the specific movie being discussed. In my opinion, it can be distracting when a celebrity’s distinctive voice is easily recognizable, like Whoopi Goldberg as a hyena in Lion King. It takes me out of the story, so it’s something to consider when casting these roles.

When it comes to franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there is a lot of content to sift through. With fifteen movies and forty-plus episodes of TV, it’s a hefty watch. While these franchises have potential for great storytelling, some viewers feel that the quality of the content doesn’t always match up to expectations. However, there’s some magic missing that makes it fall short of true saga-level storytelling.

Moving on to Transformers, there was praise for the original animated movie from some fans. They appreciated the writing, humor, and pathos in it, especially when compared to the live-action adaptations. The voice acting was a standout element, with characters like Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Soundwave being iconic voices that stuck with fans. However, some audience members felt that the voice actors in the more recent adaptations didn’t quite capture the essence of the original characters. Small details like the number of faces on Quintessons and the design of Sharkticons were points of contention for some viewers, but overall, the movie was deemed worth watching.

It’s interesting to note how celebrity voices, storytelling, and attention to detail can impact our viewing experiences, whether it’s in classic animated movies or modern adaptations. Each element plays a role in creating a memorable and engaging entertainment experience.
