Eve Hewson Discusses Finding Her Fate on ‘Bad Sisters’ Season 2
ch explains why her friend knew before her.
“This was before we read [episodes] 1 and 2, because they were casting before and people had snippets,” she shares. “And I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ I was like, ‘I’m pregnant?’ And he was like, ‘You didn’t know that?’ I was like, ‘No.’ So that’s how I found out.”
She purposefully keeps her friend’s identity a secret as he did not ultimately get the part, but Hewson says that “everyone at the time was texting me” about the role.
“They were like, ‘Basically, half of London is auditioning to play your boyfriend,'” she recalls. “And I was like, ‘That’s quite nice.'”
Hewson’s character’s pregnancy is not the only big twist so far in season 2. The season kicked off with a bang as episode 2 ended with the shocking death of one of the Garvey sisters, Grace (Anne-Marie Duff).
The actress told PEOPLE she “loved the drama” of her character’s death — the result of her car swerving off the road in the middle of the night.
“I sort of relish surprises in drama because I think we can become comfortable, even as viewers, watching things. So I love it when somebody suddenly takes a mad turn. It always feeds the monster of the story.”
